It is good to find a quite place at the end of a busy week, sitting by the lake and taking a deep breathe.  This morning there weren't cow bells but swans, ducks and a cool breeze.
I always wish that church was a bit later when my alarm goes off at 6:30 but one of the rewards is that it is much quieter. I have the bus to myself-- my own limo service to the train station. I usually push the button on the side of the bus for the doors to open, but the driver quickly opened it for me today. "Guten Morgen!" One Sunday morning on the train I met a couple from school heading out on an early morning hike. After a few minutes they asked if I was just coming home-- I smiled and laughed as I looked at what I was wearing and said, "Does it look like I've been up all night?" We laughed as I told them I was headed to Luzern to church. The few people on the train have backpacks, bikes or the hazed look of a long night. I can see why people head out to the mountains on a Sunday morning... it is filled with peace. I am reminded of the spirituality in nature...
My Saturday morning run near Lake Zug. Foggy, misty morning.. After running here for the past year and a half I am still finding things that I didn't really notice before. This morning the bridge suspended in the fog caught my eye..
Time to sit in the garden with my Kindergarten class listening the joy of finding an ant and looking at it with a magnifying glass-- I love the change that I feel in fall. Like a new beginning. I feel it more than in January.. It reminds me of a quote from Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, "When my fingers touched the knob of the back door, something inside me shifted-- I could actually feel it. I knew Mrs. Odell was right. I felt the flutter of a page turn deep within me as a chapter in my life book came to a close."
