Farmer for President

I know my cycling days are numbered before another winter and with a few days of Fall break left I headed out on the quiet farming roads nearby.  There is something about the open air, green fields, cows, and hard work that makes life feel more simple.  The gray areas seem to go away and black and white seems more visible.

It was a first for me when I had to stop as a farmer blocked the road to bring his cows across and then passed a small shop at the edge of his farm that was selling his milk-- honor style.  Inside the small shed there are empty bottles and you fill it up and leave you money--  no one there to take it.

I waved to a farmer as he made a turn on his tractor and thought-- one of those hard working, honest, humble people should lead our country.

So..... I'm throwing it out there!  Farmers for President!
