Snowy trails and Halloween Celebrations! The Swiss Germans are just starting to join in the sugar crazed holiday and the International School Celebrates. Your options are limited, but you can find a few costumes in the local shops-- which might be why most of my little girls were witches.. A bit crowded as 13 excited parents with cameras in hand and trays of food joined in. One of the American parents that helped brought a bag of Tootsie Rolls for a prizes.. Who knew that would taste like home! Just missing a sugar cookie with lots of frosting! I'm always a little too willing to join in on a truly, celebration of Sugar.
The snowy Monday turned into a cold, rainy, foggy few days-- and then Saturday morning came. A few steps out the door on my run and I knew that fall had won and was back for a bit..
The cold weather brought the craving of comfort foods and comfort books.... Reading passages of one of my favorites as I sip on hot creamy tomato soup-- dinner with Jane Eyre..
"I need not sell my soul to buy bliss. I have an inward treasure born with me, which can keep me alive if all extraneous delights should be withheld or offered only at a price I cannot afford to give."
"The thoughts and thinking of someone who is more because of that which happens in her life."
