Coming soon---- SPRING!

These past weeks have been snowy, rainy, cloudy grey days....  wondering if spring got lost along the way.  Spring always feels like a gift of time, as the sun doesn't go down so early, feeling like evening is stretched and I have my own quiet moments of light before it all begins again.  Moments when the to do list of my day is erased and my work is to be a little more still inside.. Fresh air and an open sky seems to invite that stillness..

Thinking how my own quiet time builds me as I read an email with a quote---A quote from a woman, Jan White, whose work pushes my thinking about outdoor learning---

"At the heart of our thinking is a belief that children's own need and drive to learn can be trusted.  The young child's body and mind has its own developmental agenda and processes, which they should be enabled to find and follow.  We want to highlight and trust their natural play drives aiming for a truly child led curriculum.."

Thinking that finding my own time to be-- allows a space to grow --- my own developmental agenda that helps me have a more open heart and grounded roots...

My reward at the end of a rainy week was sunshine and warmth!

My European bucket list includes a marathon--  wondering what I was thinking at this point.  Saturday I ran 16 and my running buddy Mollie met me at mile 8.  A kind friend that has run marathons herself and offered to run the last half with me knowing when and where support is felt most.   Sometimes as hard as it is to accept, receiving is a humble teacher with lessons that linger and are meant to be shared......

My reward today--- as I am all about rewarding myself after I beat it up a bit running----  a chocolate kiss from a frog!  Now if they could just make a running gel that tastes as good!
