looking for the sun--

A week of cold weather.....  after a few cold, grey days--  a bit of blue and orange of a sunrise and sunset are surprises that take my breath away...

I arrive home and realize that "I've got mail!"  Books I've ordered have arrived--  more light for my week--  the books, stories and truths I read each day lift the fog--

"Interpretation---- we start by seeing more in the story, and then we end up seeing more also in our lives."  Lucy Calkins

The music teacher at school is from Scotland and some friends of hers are in a band...  they stopped by this week!  I could use a little Scottish dancing every Tuesday afternoon.  The way they dressed spoke, and played--  felt like I inhaled an authentic bit of Scottish pride! Whatever it takes to get through these cold winter days...

In my little village of Cham I live in a  bubble...  I teach at an English speaking school but when I walk out the doors I am quiet and I live in a German speaking world again..  On Sundays I break that bubble a little as I try to sing Hymns that I know and love in German....  For a few minutes the German I hear makes sense as  someone whispers in my ear the translation...  My Sundays wouldn't be the same without my two buddies!

music.... language.... voices, words, and pictures from home------ working through the fog to find the bit of sunshine to help me deepen my understanding!  My foggy week reminded that I can find sun and light everyday--
